Mobile Team
The purpose and responsibilities of the Mobile Team
The Mobile team reaches out to the community on a weekly bases (2-3 days / week) to inform the community (the families but also the relevant institutions including schools, hospitals, religious cults, the police etc) on the services being offered by the CONCORDIA Tranzit Centre as well as to counsel the families in topics relevant for them such as:
- Social issues;
- Helath issues;
- Education; and
- Access to the labour market
The Mobile Team of the CONCORDIA Tranzit Centre includes social workers, a psychologist and depending on the specific case, they are joined by the Project Coordinator, a teacher and/or a nurse.
Field-work planning takes into consideration the necessary consistency of the team in each visit considering the below-mentioned factors:
- The aim of the visits;
- The history of collaboration between the families / individuals to be visited and the Tranzit Centre;
- Existing information on those to be visited (consistency, history, needs etc); and
- Efficiency criteria (visits to the families and/or institutions which are included in similar issues that require the presence of a certain mobile team member)
